We believe you should know exactly how a site makes its money. Here's ours, in full.
The short version
Litmus is free to use. When you click a link to a retailer and buy a product, we may earn a small commission from that retailer. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same as if you'd gone to the retailer directly. That commission is how we keep the site running and free.
This never changes what we show you. Commission does not buy a higher ranking, a better rating, or a spot on the page. Products are shown and ordered on their merits — their fit for your goal, the evidence behind them, and their value. A product we earn nothing from is treated exactly the same as one we do.
How it works
We take part in affiliate programmes, including networks such as Rakuten Advertising and others we may add over time. When you click through to a retailer from Litmus, a tag identifies that the visit came from us. If you make a purchase, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale.
We only link to established, reputable retailers. We don't hold stock, process payments, or handle your orders — your purchase is entirely between you and the retailer, under their terms and their returns policy.
Why we're telling you
Affiliate income is standard across comparison and review sites, but it's often buried. We'd rather be upfront: it's a genuine potential conflict of interest, and the only way it stays honest is if we hold a hard line on it. That line is simple — our recommendations are based on what's right for you, never on what pays us most.
If we ever feature a product because a retailer paid us to (sponsored placement), we will label it clearly as such. Anything without that label is there on merit alone.

Prices shown on Litmus are indicative and can change. The retailer's website is always the source of truth for the current price, availability and delivery. Please check there before you buy.
